User Interface Design
The first thing a client sees is the user-interface, and first impressions count
When considering the user-interface(UI) for your application, the main aim of the design should be to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible allowing the user to accomplish their goals quickly and easily.
The user interface of an application should be intuitive to use. A good UI design will improve the usability and user experience of an application. If the UI design is too complicated, the user may not be able to find the information they are looking for.
Design elements such as buttons should perform predictably so users will intuitively know how they behave throughout the UI. The layout of a user interface design should also be clearly set out for users so that elements can be found in a logical position by the user.
Having worked for software companies for over eighteen years, I have been involved in producing designs for a variety of user-interfaces for software applications.
